For a few days I took my family to visit my youngest sister. We went to her new house in Danville where she had been living for a year and a half. Her old house was in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood so a neighbor had helped her move in. When we arrived, we found her just inside the back gate with her old dog, which was taking great pride in his new estate.
My sister works in a dental clinic so she is glad to have his company. He has a great time living there and makes a few friends, some of which were not her friends before. When he feels social he plays around the neighborhood with his new family. As he was a stray for a long time, he probably makes some new friends at the vet office.
It was so pleasant to be with my sister for the short time we were there. She still lives in her old neighborhood and can see her house from her kitchen window. We took some trips around Danville, but she wanted to ride in my car. We also took her to an animal hospital. There she showed me how well her new dog had taken to her and also that my new dog was quite comfortable in her company. We really enjoyed each other’s company and left each other with some great memories.
I wish I could stay with her for a while longer, but I have my own adventures to do. I am happy to know that she is in good health and has a good companion.

This month I have a special treat to show you. I have been in contact with my sister who lives in Virginia about the possibility of a visit. My husband and I go to visit her every year, so she has come to expect a visit and be sure to invite us. In fact, when she tells us that she has guests coming from California, she starts listing her best friends. This year we are traveling to spend a couple of days with her.
We are not visiting the Danville area, but it is fun to visit her new place in Virginia. Her new house is more recently built than mine and has a swimming pool. I am looking forward to seeing how she has turned it into a home.
