Frequently Asked Questions

What is hemp?

Hemp is a Cannabis Sativa plant. It is grown and farmed for many purposes. Hemp has long been farmed and revered for its diverse qualities and uses. Hemp is one of the very first plants to be used for creation of usable fiber to make things such as rope, clothing, and paper. Today hemp is widely cultivated to be turned into various CBD products such as oils, gummies, and our own HempCig’s. Hemp is a nickname given to this plant so you do not confuse it with the THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) rich “marijuana” plant. Both are the same plant species, and yet vastly diffferent!

What is CBD?

CBD is short for Cannabidiol. CBD is a naturally occurring chemical compound that is found in cannabis plants, such as hemp. It is known for its natural relaxing and calming properties.

Will smoking hemp get me high?

Nope! While hemp is a cannabis plant, it differs from the marijuana plant in this area. Hemp is very CBD rich, yet it severly lacks the cannabinoid THC. THC or tetrahydrocannabinol is the molecule that produces the feeling of being high. While hemp does contain low levels of THC, the levels are so low that it will not affect the user. By law, in order to sell hemp the dry flower must be lab tested to contain less than .3% THC! In short, CBD is a natural relaxer, and is reported by many to reduce anxiety, stress, and pain from ailments. With our products you get all of the C H I L L, but none of the high.

“Is this stuff legal?”

Yes! Our products meet all the legal requirements for sale of CBD products per the Hemp Farming Act of 2018. Our hemp is lab tested (see lab results tab), and ALWAYS contains less than .3%, which is required by law. In most cases our THC is so low, it comes back non-detectable from the lab! We are very proud of our products and assure you that you can smoke and C H I L L with confidence.

What are the benefits of smoking hemp and CBD?”

CBD, a major component of hemp, is known for its reported pain relieving properties. CBD is also revered for its calming effect. It is regularly used to treat anxiety, sleep disorders, and depression. Within the brain CBD has been proven to react with neurotransmitters that are related to serotonin and regulate moods and social behavior. Hence, the C H I L L, happy feeling provided by CBD. We are required by law to inform you that none of these statements have been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. But that will change very soon…
